About CT Hockey

Connecticut’s home for youth hockey since 2010

OUR STORY

In the late 2000s, enrollment in USA Hockey youth programs was dropping. Even in Connecticut, a state with a long and rich tradition of ice hockey, numbers were dwindling. To highlight the players and build excitement for the sport, a joint venture was conceived between Tom Regan, then President of CT Hockey Conference, and Ken Dixon, owner of an online marketing company and active developer of hockey programs in Connecticut. This venture became GottaLoveCTHockey in 2010.

The objective was clear — create video content where youth players were the stars of the show. Throughout the 2010–2011 season, we produced thirty episodes. Word quickly spread and teams were continually asking to be featured. The initial season was a success.

Almost fourteen years later, GottaLoveCTHockey has created over 1,000 videos covering hockey drills, skill exercises, goalie tips, mental performance, interviews featuring professional players and college coaches, and much more. Through it all, youth hockey games remain at the very core of our content.

"You just gotta love Connecticut hockey."

At GottaLoveCTHockey we’re constantly striving to keep families engaged and focused on the fun associated with the challenging sport of ice hockey — growing the Connecticut hockey community to be stronger, smarter, and more connected.
